Family on holiday in Australia for a week and a half when husband, wife and their 15 year old son decided to go scuba diving. The husband is in the navy and has had some scuba experience. His son wanted a pic of his mum and dad in all their gear so got the under water camera on the go.When it came to taking the pic the dad realized that the son look like he was panicking as he took it and gave the ‘OK’ hand sign to see if he was alright.
The son took the pic and swam to the surface and back to the boat as quick as he could so the mum and dad followed to see if he was OK. When they got back to him he was scrambling onto the boat and absolutely shitting himself.
When the parents asked why , he said ‘there was a shark behind you’ and the dad thought he was joking but the skipper of the boat said it was true and that they wouldn’t believe him if he told them what it was.. As soon as they got back to the hotel they put the pic onto the laptop and this is what they saw

UPDATE:
Yeahh, no good!, this image HAS been photoshoped, i did copy and past the forward from my GF. So its not even original material. Here is the picture of the shark BEFORE it has been pasted into our diver’s back ground.

If that was real I reckon that would be very very frightening but I think that is very unlikely for two reasons. 1- The shark might be big but if you think about their usual size and put it in proportion to a human you’d realise the shark should be bigger, 2- If that had happened I very much doubt that their son wouldn’t have warned them, he wouldn’t have taken the picture either. He would have screamed and swam away.

This is an awesome pic….. however you would have known if a shark that big was behind you….. It would of had you for lunch…..and the son’s crap for breakfast….. Anyway still an awesome pic…. to bad it’s fake.

I think it is real. But it may not be I do not know. I have seen alot of shark stuff. it may be true.

WOW I can’t belive it my teacher Mr.A got an e.mail from his wife. We all said it was so cool but A.G said the mom and dad where at a place where they where the shark was behind the glass. Any way that is some awsom photoshop.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok this cannot be real because i would have died of panic if a shark that big was about to eat my parents. and the shark would have ate them or at least bitten one of them. nice try but there is no way that could be real

im not sure if this is real because it could go either way. it might not have attacked them because the parents weren’t afraid (and sharks can sense fear), the shark may not have been hugry, and there was’t ay blood. i still dont beleive the sos reaction. why would he still take the pic. ayway awesome pic

It certainly looks good, but if the light on water made the cool markings on the shark body , why are there none of the people, their suits or their tanks? it looks like the light source is different for the people than for the shark.

omg. my friend emailed me the picture with the divers and the story. i wanted to get more info on it so i found the picture….but now i know its fake. this sucks!!!! i told my parents it was real….but its not. that would be kind of cool if it were real though…….

The people that say its photo shopped and the shark would have attacked them are wrong cuz sharks only attack if they are hungry or if there is blood. Maybe the shark just ate a school of fish and wasnt hungry.

For crying out loud. Why are some people wondering whether it’s real or not? The link to Snopes who catagorically state it as false was posted in post 7 above, back in Nov 2007!!!!
